Andre Walter is one of the key figures behind the early Schranz movement. In the 1990s, he played a major role in shaping the raw, driving techno sound that later became known as Schranz. Under his alias Stigmata, he developed a signature style defined by distorted drums, relentless grooves and a dark, machine-driven aesthetic.
During this formative period, Andre Walter worked closely with artists such as Chris Liebing and Toni Rios and contributed to building one of the most influential techno movements in Europe. His productions have always focused on functionality, pressure and impact on large club sound systems.
